Scottish Photography Tour 2018

Capture the spectacular scenery of Scotland on an expert led 8 day photography adventure from Edinburgh through the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye.

Join acclaimed Scottish photographer, Dougie Cunningham, from 3-10 November 2018 for a unique opportunity to explore Scotland and capture some of the wonderful landscapes, scenery and wildlife which our beautiful country has to offer.  Whether you are an avid photographer or just starting out and looking for a unique opportunity to learn, there is no doubt that immersing yourself among beautiful scenery and being guided by a professional offers a great starting point for wonderful photography.   Dougie has spent years exploring the hidden glens, high mountains and islands of Scotland with his camera and has recently published his first book, Photographing Scotland – an wonderful guide for visitors to finding the best photographic locations and local highlights.

So, in safe hands, and with your own copy of this great book, you’ll be guided on scenic routes and less travelled trails.  Great scenery teamed with daily workshops and guidance, Dougie will help you capture your own images and showcase spectacular Scotland.

Photography in Scotland is something to be enjoyed throughout the year, and whilst Winter can present certain challenges it is also an exciting and colourful time with fading Autumn colours, the first signs of snow-capped mountains and rough seas.

Your journey will begin with a day capturing the beautiful city of Edinburgh before travelling north through Highland Perthshire and the Cairngorms to reach the dramatic mountain landscapes of the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve by Torridon and the West Coast of Scotland. After a couple of days in this area you’ll continue your journey onto the Isle of Skye – with the mighty Cuillins, rugged coastlines and the Trotternish Ridge there are familiar views and those less well known which you’ll be able to explore. Returning to the mainland spend your final couple of days on the shores of Loch Leven overlooked by the infamous peaks of Glencoe. From here enjoy the return journey through the Trossachs to Glasgow before departure.

See Scotland differently on this unique photography tour and enjoy good Scottish hospitality, fine food, and a wee dram of whisky (or two).  We are delighted to partner with Dougie Cunningham from LeadingLines to deliver this special interest tour of Scotland.
