Road Trip to North-West Scotland - Capercaillie Escapes

A wee road trip into the wilderness of the north-west highlands and islands of Scotland…there is so much to see here across Sutherland, Wester Ross, the islands of the Outer Hebrides.  From moorland and peat bogs, to mountains, glens, great lochs, vast sandy beaches, moon-scapes and abundant wildlife check out a few highlights from our gallery!

The highlands and coastlines of the north-west also offer mouth-wateringly good food to sample both from the land and sea.  From the very simple to the extravagantly designed the natural larder in the north-west serves up beautiful Scottish cuisine.  In 2015 we are celebrating the Scottish Food and Drink so come join us and taste for yourself on a tailored ‘Foodie Trail’.

Whilst this part of Scotland seems remote, it is more accessible than you think and with a well-planned itinerary based on our local knowledge we’ll help you get there to experience it for yourself.

Last year we spent a few days camping in the Assynt region near Lochinver which was superb but we’ve also stayed in some first-class guest house and hotel accommodations in the area too – it’s all here, it’s just knowing where to find it!
