The team at Mary’s Meanders based in Linlithgow, in partnership with Capercaillie Escapes in Fife, are excited to launch an immersive new winter tour here in Scotland. A wonderful opportunity to slow down and ‘coorie in’ with a like-minded group of people wishing to explore and experience Scotland’s history, heritage, craft, music, food and drink.  With a team of skilled artisans and chefs onboard to help deliver the tour, guests can be sure of a warm welcome and marvellously local experience.  This is a very relaxed tour, as much about the experiences, as about the sites. Slow tourism, at its best.

Fully hosted by wonderful guides from Mary’s Meanders this 4 night/5 day tour will run from Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2025 and includes all accommodation, transport, meals and a selection of carefully curated activities.  Final places are limited so we encourage guests to secure their spot now before Friday 10 January 2025.

Where will we go?

Your tour begins and ends in our beautiful and historic capital city of Edinburgh, however you also be able to enjoy settling into your charming cottage accommodation in a rural location to the west of Edinburgh by Linlithgow.  Whilst some of your activities will come to you at the cottages, you will also enjoy a day trip over the Firth of Forth to the Kingdom of Fife – home to quaint fishing villages, beautiful food and drink, and many golf courses, not least in the historic University town of St Andrews.

What will it cost?

The tour is £2100 per person and is fully escorted and guided with on site hosts.  This package price includes all of your accommodations, transport, meals (other than lunch on one day and any evening drinks/cocktails), artisan workshops and materials needed, and a special Scottish Dining Experience.
