Honeymoon in Scotland - Capercaillie Escapes
As the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan is just a day away and excitement in Windsor (and around the world) is at fever pitch we have no doubt the couple are ready for quite a party, but what a relief it will be to escape the crowds and all eyes watching to take time for themselves on a very special and romantic honeymoon.
But where to go? Scotland is a very special place for the Royals so we wonder if the new Mr and Mrs may spend a few days north of the border to begin their honeymoon in Scotland.
For any couple Scotland offers beautiful scenery, wilderness and tranquility, both relaxation and adventure, warm hospitality in unique accommodation and an opportunity to sample fine food and drink across the country – what better recipe for an unforgettable honeymoon. From traditional luxury experiences of staying in a Scottish castle, dining on the finest food and drink, private excursions into the wilderness or immersing yourselves in a luxurious spa, many also now opt for a more modern mini-moon or rustic and alternative sort of escape. Regardless of what suits you for those first few days as a married couple we are pleased to be able to offer a first class service to ensure it is incredibly special.
Recently married at the start of 2018, founder of Capercaillie Escapes, Jane has been working on sharing a new ‘sample escape’ to help inspire and showcase what a beautiful honeymoon destination Scotland can be. Starting with a few days in Edinburgh, one of the most historic and romantic cities in the world, your journey then takes you north to the Scottish Highlands and the dramatic west coast before spending the next few days exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye. Spend your final few days relaxing in a luxury retreat in the Trossachs before returning to reality and enjoying the start of married life together.
Working with local photographers it is a special addition to any escape into Scotland to be joined for a day or even a few hours for a unique shoot helping capture a few special moments during your stay. This is just one of the options included within our new escape – The Honeymooner.
And if you’re going to plan an adventure in Scotland then why not get a helping hand from someone who has recently been there and done it. Jane is a local, she’s recently married and a she’s a honeymooner:
It was lovely to plan a few days away in the wintery Scottish Highlands to relax in cosy accommodation and enjoy some beautiful meals and a few bubbles. It gave us time to digest what a superb wedding day we had, as well as spend some time in the great outdoors having fun – just us and the dog. As it was Winter we opted for some time in the sunshine too a few days later, but our mini-moon in Scotland was a perfect.
When planning a wedding there is a lot to do and a lot of people to organise. Why not hand a few days over to Capercaillie Escapes and allow us to craft a very special escape in Scotland that is just for you. Simply get in touch if you would like us to talk through a few ideas about your own escape to Scotland – we’ll be happy to craft a bespoke itinerary for you.
For now we wish Harry and Meghan all the best for a long and happy future!
