We want to make the process of booking your escape as simple as possible.
Making an Enquiry
We normally suggest that you contact us with your travel enquiry at least 8 weeks prior to your planned departure to enable us to prepare the best itinerary we can for you, make all necessary arrangements and tailor your bespoke itinerary materials.
You can use our online enquiry form to provide us with an initial view of your requirements. We will take a look and contact you directly to discuss ideas in more detail so we fully understand your interests before creating a tailored proposal for you outlining high level itinerary details and the proposed cost (subject to availability and change until bookings confirmed).
Alternatively you are welcome to contact us by email or phone with your enquiry.
Making a Payment
There is no fee for us to prepare your initial proposal, however to confirm your booking with us, and to enable us to progress with arranging your detailed itinerary we will ask you for a 25% deposit of the quoted price once you are happy with the proposal. We will only ask you to pay the final balance of your trip 6 weeks prior to departure. If this is the same time as your booking we will collect a single payment for the full amount.
We accept payments securely and simply by bank transfer or cheque. International payments can be sent to Capercaillie Escapes by SWIFT transfer (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication). Full details on making a payment are provided on your travel proposal and invoice.
Please refer to our detailed terms and conditions for further information.
Getting ready to Escape
Two weeks prior to starting your escape you will receive your detailed personal itinerary to the address you provide us. This will include all relevant booking information for your accommodation, transport and activities, as well as any additional recommendations and guides you require.
Please contact us at any time during the booking process to ask us any questions you may have.
We’ll put all of it into a personalised guide that you can take on your travels.
